Children of Promise

Children of Promise program is a partnership between CGGC Cross Cultural Ministries office and the CGGC Mission in Bangladesh, specifically the students that are attending the Khanjanpur Boarding School in the Joypurhat district. These are children from our poorest village churches whose parents cannot afford schooling for them.

$20 a month provides for their education, meals, lodging and medical care. The great thing about the program is that many of our present leaders in Bangladesh have gone to this school. So by sponsoring a student, not only are you helping the students, but also you are providing for the future leaders and improvement of the communities.

When you set-up a sponsorship, you will receive a photo and bio of the student. You are encouraged to write letters and send photos to your student through our office (all mail should be sent to the CGGC office in Findlay, OH and then we forward it to Bangladesh). You have the option of choosing a boy or girl to sponsor and after the sponsorship is set-up, you are responsible for sponsoring that student until he or she leaves the boarding school.

This program works well for church groups, individuals or families. 65 cents a day is what the cost amounts to, basically, and all of the money goes directly to the support of your student in Bangladesh. You have the option of sending payments in monthly ($20), quarterly ($60), semi-annually ($120) or annually ($240). All payments go to the CGGC office, with the designated ministry code, CC 2702. Once you are assigned a student, the student also has an ID number that you will put on your payment, too.

If this seems like something of interest to you, you can contact the Cross Cultural team and they will assign you to a student and send you his or her information with more details of payment options.
